James Brown’s Soul Generals were Super Star & International Music Icon James Brown's only band since the mid -1980's. The band features legendary bassist Fred Thomas who played bass on countless James Brown classic hit songs, was a member of the JB's and toured with James Brown for over 30 years. While backing the "Godfather of Soul" for many years James Brown’s Soul Generals earned themselves the ultimate title of "Tha Funkiest Band In The World".
The band has had a variety of special guest appearances on major television shows including: Late Night with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, BET (Black Entertainment Television), Entertainment Tonight, Fox Morning Show, American Music Awards, BET Music Awards and Live 8. They’ve also made cameo appearances in feature films like: “Rocky I4” and “The Tuxedo” starring: Jackie Chan and Jennifer Love Hewitt with a special guest appearance by James Brown!
After years of recording, performing and touring the band’s Leader, Bassist/Musical Director Fred Thomas has teamed up with Entertainment industry veteran Rich Callaway & True Talent Entertainment to keep the "Funk & Soul" going strong! The band's funky sound and dynamic live stage show includes a variety of James Brown's and the JB's hit songs!
